Comprehensive installation guides are easily accessible and should be meticulously adhered to for optimal outcomes.

-
To what type of surface can DSG products be safely attached?DSG products are intended for direct use on outdoor stucco, plaster, brick, CMU block, and concrete surfaces. Reach out to your DSG representative for specific instructions on how to apply the products to cement board and vinyl siding, buildings with shingle siding, and other structures clad in wood.
-
Is it possible for DSG products to lead to issues with moisture infiltration in buildings?Architectural features of DSG are separate from the main weatherproof system of the building. Instead of needing nails, screws, or other fasteners like wood trims and precast masonry, our profiles are usually attached with mortar to the exterior of a finished, weather-resistant, code-compliant wall without puncturing the building membrane. Additionally, our designed top slope and drip-edge shape assist in diverting rainwater from the building facade.
-
Are there any additional benefits in terms of liability when utilizing your profile systems? The use of our lightweight materials can mitigate issues related to structural loading, settling, and seismic events. By selecting our products and adhering to our installation instructions, architects and builders can prevent potential risks and expenses linked to heavier or membrane-penetrating construction techniques.
-
DSG products have an attractive appearance, but will they actually help me cut costs?Typically, we offer profiles that are almost double the size for the same cost as traditional architectural details, providing excellent value for larger components such as parapet cornices and brackets. Our installation systems save on labor costs significantly, and maintenance expenses are minimal compared to painted wood assemblies. Additionally, our lightweight construction eliminates the necessity for structural enhancements needed to support heavy pre-cast concrete shapes.
-
Can DSG Mouldings supply large commercial projects?Yes! Our extensive cornice and parapet systems, installed wall panels, ornamental brackets, crown moldings, and other significant features are well-suited for shopping centers, hotels, casinos, institutional and multi-family projects, and other commercial developments.
